This Great Helms design is based on a historical find from Lucera Castle in Italy and is believed to be dated to the 13th century (1250-1300), similar in style to the ones seen within the Maciejowski Bible and other period art.

This reproduction is made of 18 gauge solid steel and has a protective cross on the face. The fabric lining and strap on the chin allows for a perfect fit.
